yesterday went for kite-flying .it's been a very very long time since we last put romeo and juliet in the air . i remembered the old base where both of them will take off is right where la casa condo is right now ...
so funny becos the open field got lots of very big holes around and they were covered by weeds and long grasses . there's once when qiang ran and ran to put romeo in the air . we saw him run , and the next moment , he disappeared . a search operation was on , and we found him inside one of those big hole . apparently , he ran and didn't notice , falling right into it . no injuries though .
there were also incidents whereby the line was too long , and the kite too low . the line ran across two big fields , with drive16 separating both of them . then suddenly a bendy bus was just round the corner . becos we were on a raised field , we tried to recover juliet and at the same time , stood up with hands raising as high as possible for the bus to pass . the driver slowed down the bus , with all the passengers looking at us -.-" .
these memorable events made me yearns for more kite-flying session ...
but yesterday was just not the best day . we went to the open field beside christ church . the weather seemed just nice becos it was going to rain and usually this means lots of wind .
what we got was just tiny bits of wind , with some occasional gusts . we ran like hell , and both managed to take off , only to drop height gradually . it wasn't windy enough to let them loose .
after 1.5hrs of trying , we gave up . on the way to retrieve romeo and juliet back , the christ church students saw what we were doing from their corridor . they waved and shouted ' hello ' to us . dots ... i helloed back ! guess what ... nothing . haha ...
i think they were just surprised somebody will fly kite during school hours . and i bet most of them nv fly kite before .
they dun have childhood , and i'm just too fortunate , to have 3 kites ... haha !
