i had borrowed this book countless number of times from the library , and frankly speaking , i read through the whole book as many times .what surprises me is that the content written in the book was quite accurate ... and i dunnoe how the author , tim huxley , managed to get all this info ... for some of them are quite sensitive . in fact , anything regarding our armed forces are sensitive .
one part that surprises me is that he managed to get the orbat info very accurately , 80% of them . and how do i know ?
recently went browsing through mindef website and found out that some parts had been revamped . they actually released some orbat info which we might not get so easily ( i presumed some more info are still being kept as secret ) .
now i hope to own one becos this book from nlb is like ' kiam chai ' like that . although this book was published in 2000 , i think it still has its value , becos i can use it for my own reference . will have to go down to kinokuniya to buy liao ...
another book ' southeast asia - threats in the security environment ' that i borrowed , it sux alot . i thought this book might be great becos it was first published in 2006 , and there might be new info which i've never read before .
it disappoints me becos the content was so ' antique ' ( in the sense that the info given are old info that i've already known ) . and the author keeps on copying and pasting the same chuck of info from chap1 to chap10 . what a waste of paper for publishing this book -.-" ... the author might have better future in writing children's abc story book .

damn suay sia .cycled out to ' dabao ' chicken cutlet for dinner .
on the way back , i took a different route to my void deck .
while engaging a turn , i lost concentration for a while . and my bike just banged into the wall -.-" , with a loud ' biang ' ...
what makes me more ' malu ' was that there were 2 passer-bys and they saw the accident . wah piang -.-" -.-" -.-" !
luckily at the point of impact , i jumped off the bike ; just taking a slight knock on my shoulder .
luckily my bike suffered no big damage .
luckily i managed to save the chicken cutlet ...

was bombarded with 3 ' mo ming qi miao ' smses this morning ...
first , yong yong asked me wanna go cmpb . diao -.-" . i know he wanted to go for another checkup . as a friend , yes i would like to accompany him go . but the place is like , so ' ulu ' . have to take mrt , bus , and walk . if u taxi-ed there , then it's fine . hehe !
second , tx asked me to organise one more partyworld . diao diao -.-" -.-" . thur asked her go , she cannot . it's not that i dunwan . it's that getting people is difficult , especially the same group . and i dun print money . everytime bill balance i have to foot you know ...
third , elder sis asked me specially to know whether i've applied for the ndp07 tickets . diao diao diao -.-" -.-" -.-" . this year's parade at marina bay leh . how can i missed this opportunity to be among the 27 thousands audience ? i already submitted the application on the very first day liao ...
well , that's all . will have to sian-ed the whole week again ...

another sunday , another badminton day ...
met 3pm at sss old house . the court was empty when i reached . but moments later , a group of primary sch kids came and occupied the court . damned them . they brought everything along ; i had only 3 rackets and shuttle . they 4 person ; i'm the only one . how to fight ?
they said they every week uses the court , so they have the right . go to hell bah ! next week i will ' jalan ' the rest to meet at 2pm . and u idiots shall sit by the side and play ' lon jiang pah ' bah !
slight change in the players' line up . nsf hui is substituted by nsf qiang .
had 3 tiring games , 2 best of 5s and 1 best of 7s .
and i discovered one thing . my ' mo qi ' with lp sux alot . haha . with him , i lost . with the nsf , i can win -.-" , though it's all nail biting finishes ...
didn't pull my muscle like last week , and not as tiring like before .
now i declare every sunday as a badminton day ...

never have i been to partyworld and have such a wonderful moment before .had been planning yesterday's trip long before . it wouldn't be a success if not for the cooperation that all of us put in .
thanks yong yong3 for taking off becos he is the pillar for creating the ' high ' atmosphere , but credits to me4 also to play along with him . wahaha ...
thanks ll5 , ng4 , sm2 becos without them , there will be no audience to our crazy performance .
thanks to yy1 and mosquito3 for giving us a chance to laugh at becos of ur craziness .
actually we were not singing , but just yelling throughout the whole session . and becos yong yong and me are quite well versed in mandarin pop , almost every songs we were the background music .
and boo to those holding the microphone , becos just the guys and together with our high capacity throat , we outshone them in most songs with our high decibel voice . we were really so ' high ' that some moments we were standing and shouting !
luckily , we were entitled to 20 drinks to soothe our throat . if not ...
aproaching the end , we had our last song , 恋爱 ing ... mustering up our last bit of energy , we yell like hell broke out .
dead tired after screaming like mad for the past 4 hours , we just refused to lift our ass up and leave . sat around and crapped for 15 mins before requesting the waitress to take a group photo for us ...
i guess this would be our last k-outing before we enlist into army . it's a truly 6-star moment !

after some self-reflection on things that i did recently , it seemed to me that most were creeping over my own sets of standards . some were even in conflict with my principle .it's time for me to shoot myself down , and not allowed me to fly too high .
after all , i'm introvert ^ 2 . haha ...

yesterday went for kite-flying .
it's been a very very long time since we last put romeo and juliet in the air . i remembered the old base where both of them will take off is right where la casa condo is right now ...
so funny becos the open field got lots of very big holes around and they were covered by weeds and long grasses . there's once when qiang ran and ran to put romeo in the air . we saw him run , and the next moment , he disappeared . a search operation was on , and we found him inside one of those big hole . apparently , he ran and didn't notice , falling right into it . no injuries though .
there were also incidents whereby the line was too long , and the kite too low . the line ran across two big fields , with drive16 separating both of them . then suddenly a bendy bus was just round the corner . becos we were on a raised field , we tried to recover juliet and at the same time , stood up with hands raising as high as possible for the bus to pass . the driver slowed down the bus , with all the passengers looking at us -.-" .
these memorable events made me yearns for more kite-flying session ...
but yesterday was just not the best day . we went to the open field beside christ church . the weather seemed just nice becos it was going to rain and usually this means lots of wind .
what we got was just tiny bits of wind , with some occasional gusts . we ran like hell , and both managed to take off , only to drop height gradually . it wasn't windy enough to let them loose .
after 1.5hrs of trying , we gave up . on the way to retrieve romeo and juliet back , the christ church students saw what we were doing from their corridor . they waved and shouted ' hello ' to us . dots ... i helloed back ! guess what ... nothing . haha ...
i think they were just surprised somebody will fly kite during school hours . and i bet most of them nv fly kite before .
they dun have childhood , and i'm just too fortunate , to have 3 kites ... haha !

well ... i had been resting for the past 2 weeks , recharging myself back to the tip top condition , too much so that i overcharged myself -.- " .
my tiredness cycle looks much like a plateau . not enough sleep = tired ; too much sleep = tired !
it will be much more better if i'm given some work to do to and not rot at home . but where are all the work when i need them the most ?
enough of my moaning ( i'm not mourinho nor alex ferguson ) , but i truly yearn to continue with the last few days of teaching . i'm missing out too much fun in school , and the salary . wah $$$ !!!
hmm ... back to the topic , ' down but not out ' . actually , it's not about the current ' jobless and no salary ' situation that i'm enduring now but rather , some words that came out from one of my inner circle friends' mouth .
i'm pretty offended by what is coming out from abc as they ran afoul with two of my stated law . abc tried to change my principle of friendship , and abc pissed me off .
abc's comments made me feel very upset . abc dun trust me . abc questioned my integrity . trust is of paramount importance in everything we do . and yet after these years friendship , abc still questions my integrity in handling money . i'm thoroughly disappointed .
abc is not like acting like this few years back . abc's change is what we see in an exponential graph . i've noticed linear curve , ln curve , but not yet an exponential .
what others and i truly hope is that abc can change to what abc is in the olden days , when we shared laughter and had fun together .

last weekend was a fun weekend . i was occupied for almost whole day long . haha !
friday
we went to farmart at sungei tengah , a place where farming products are being sold . we went there to see people catch prawn . actually wanted to rent a fishing rod and had some fun . but after some studying of the prawning situation , our prawning adviser , lp , gave us an advice , a lousy one . he said there wasn't much prawn in the pond to catch . it's lame -.-" , because we can see it with our own eyes . then off we zoomed to marina south to see people play arcade .
we reached there , but they changed their mind and decided to have bbq buffet . lame again -.-" , becos i just had my dinner . and i hate these diy bbq buffet because you need to pay $10+ to eat ( the range of food is bad , quality ? worse ) , and you have to cook yourself . worst of all , you have to endure the stinko oily greasy smell after everything .
after the greasy encounter , we decided to patronise another dirty prawn farm , before stopping at marina south pier for some relaxation . but really damn it , the outdoor area on the 3rd storey was closed at night -.-" . curse the management becos the place is ideal for some small talks ...
no other choice , we left home . met a police road block on the way . it was my first time and they didn't stop us for checks . phew ...
saturday
' emo-ed ' the whole morning ...
afternoon when i was getting ready to drive my sis and mum to ' si4 ma3 lu4 ' temple , i discovered that the car was hell dirty after friday's trip to the dirty prawn farm . i quickly washed off the dirt in just 10 mins . wow !
went for prayer upon reaching albert street , and then shopped around at og before going to collect sis's watch at grand cathay .
after all these tasks , we went to a hongkong cafe along upper thomson to have dinner . the ambience was relatively fine with me , but the food was not that good . baked rice looked more like fried rice to me , hk milk tea tasted like ' kopitiam's teh pheng ' . overall , ' xinwang ' is better . wahaha !
too early for a saturday evening , we went further to far east florist to buy some more plants for decorative purpose . actually i like to go there because i think flower and flowing water makes people feel calm . and that place has both , likened to my house hehe ...
tata , back to woodlands ...
sunday
business as usual - newspaper , comp-ed for whole afternoon , until lp moaned he was sianed .
sensing a perfect timing for badminton , i msged yuelong . together with laihui , we formed the civilian vs nsf team . woots ! ! ! so long never have such competitive games already .
scoreline reads : 1 - 0 , 2 - 0 , 2 - 1 , 2 - 2 , 3 - 2 .
needless to say , nsf won . but civilian made a great comeback from 2 - 0 to 2 - 2 okay ... last game we also crawled back to 18-18 before scrumbling to 21 - 19 -.-" . what a waste !
nevertheless , it was a great game . hope to have more of these on every sunday ...

wah piang , today whole day i went haywire !the moment clock strikes 12 am , i went out with my khakis to chit chat sing song ... went to eat and drink kopi until very late . 4am okay ! ! ! -.-" so late until i go home dun feel like sleeping liao , cos the biological clock in me cork up . then lurked around other people de blog to see here and there until 5am before the sleep worm creeped in again ...
haizz labour day holiday is supposed to play and have fun . even the bangalah also got the chance to go zoo see ah meng ! i was too tired to go shopping , so i slept for the whole afternoon . this is how i spend my labour day -.-"
this 2 weeks so many off day becos school having exams -.-" . that means no money , and no fun ! i will use these days to recharge myself , like go cycle , go have fun ! see you soon ...
