received the pink letter last week ...

officially , i will be enlisted on 15 june to become an employee of mindef .

and for your info , i enlist early becos i did not take napfa, not fail ! if i take , i will surely pass de loh , no doubt .

haiz , although i've anticipated that i will be enlisted in june , it's still a shock to me becos it's approaching soon , real soon ... but i'm glad that lp and yong yong is enlisting on the same day as me , with yong yong and me going to the same school and time . that means a high possibility that we will be in the same company . best if we can be in a same section . woots !

there's a saying ' want to die , die together ' . lets die together earlier and resurrect earlier . haha ...

compliments to all of you ! ! !

my current relief teacher job is kinda secured up till end of may . but there's only 4 weeks left , and the next 2 weeks i'm anticipating days with no work . that means lesser pay and lesser joy -.-" .

having worked since march , i'm getting more and more ' hooked ' to this job . not that i loved teaching , but becos the people there are simply marvelous ! the students are so fun to be with . the jokes they cracked , si bei lame ; the action they made , si bei cute ; the language they used , si bei funny . i'm not going to list out the classes becos i dun wan to offend people . but you guys should know which are the classes ...

well , enough of my compliment . or else they will fly . hope that all of them will stay cheerful always ...

recently has been going round other people's blog to 'peep' at , to update myself ... blog by blog , i'm getting a clearer picture of what's their inner thoughts .

i've reached a conclusion - youngsters today are getting more of what they termed it as 'emotional' , or emo for short !

what they wrote in their blogs is shocking to me - vulgarities , self mutilation , leaving this world ( i assume suicide ) , etc ... and most of them had actually tried cutting themselves . gosh !

somehow , the kids nowadays cant take the slightest knock . one knock and it would leave them with the deepest injuries . they keep citing stress as the main culprit . stress from school work ? i thought the things they are studying now is much more simpler , with more chapters being taken away or simplified . why didn't i feel so much stress when i'm still studying ? i'm not a clever person either .

they have been 'sissified' , a term invented by us for people who cant take knocks . or should i say they matured too fast than what their minds or feelings can handled .

the more i read their blogs , the more i think we need more councillors , to find out what are the problems they are having actually . it will be the hottest career in the next 10 years ! and the job will be simple becos the reasons behind the kids being emo are more or less the same - relationships , friends ... so they will jus have to learn one method and applies to all cases .

another conclusion based on what i've seen in school - youngsters are also very self-centred nowadays . they do things without any thoughts for others , they made comments without any thoughts for others , they lacked not in iq but eq ...

they think that what they do are right and are always right . they dun listen to advice and want more autonomy . they dun respect others , yet want respect in return .

sorry , but i want to give them a tight slap on the face . mind that you are in school . you are supposed to be following the school rules at all times . rules are meant to be followed , not broken ! some things shouldn't be done in the way , yet you want them to be . you broke the rule , and you are out of the game . simple !

make it two tight slap if you want to talk about getting respect in school ! it has to be earned , not given . dun expect respect to be given when you act like a monkey ; i will give you only two tight slap .

you want more say , then show me with more self-discipline . in the movie ' spiderman ' , the last word from peter parker's uncle to him is ' with greater power comes greater responsibility ' . only that you satisfy me with your self-discipline then will i entrust you with more power . if not , this world will be in a mess .

new experience ...

hmmm ... i had been working as a relief teacher in my secondary school for the past one month plus . it's ironic for me to work as a teacher becos i'd sweared before that ' i will take all kinds of job except becoming a teacher ' !

actually we signed up for the relief teacher mainly for fun becos that time , we had nothing to do at kb's house . then after getting initial approval from moe , our interest got bigger . we went back specially for an interview . luckily becos we were ex-student , and our conduct had been impressive , there was no need for the interview and we were placed on the relief list immediately .

initially , teaching the class was kinda of nervous becos we had no prior experience . what we had is only a protocol that we had to follow . as time goes by , we set our own rules haha !

the school nowadays is ... haiz , sad to say , deteriorated to such a condition whereby the discipline is horrible . just to name a few - fighting , challenging teacher , skipping classes ... some students , especially the sec$%^&*s , were way beyond redemption . i really wondered , since they dun like to study at all , why bother to come school ? we need students who are willing to learn , not bunches of immature hooligans .

the school shld have taken a tougher stance to reinstate the strict , no-nonsense environment in our times . suspend them if necessary for a long period because detention is now of no use . worst , resort to expelsion ! anything less , they wun learn . they will think 'chey , detention nia . no big deal ' . these 'morons' ought to learn lesson using the hard way .

enough of my criticism , i had to give credits to another group of students with good conduct ( comparable to me , haha ) . most of them are from the express classes ; 1e1 , 2e1 , 3e1 ... i find them very funny and cute . being with them makes me feel younger . notice that i said 'younger' , not 'young' . becos i'm young in nature haha !

though they can be noisy at times , at least they do their work . i allowed them to make so much noise that even other classes de teacher also come out to have a look simply becos at their age now , they shld be enjoying their school life as much as possible . from my experience , the lower secs life was my most enjoyable moment . i dun want to deprive them some of the best memories that they can have .

seeing them somehow made me think about the times we had during sec2 ; whole class guys sit together to makan , play block catching after scholl , giving teacher nicks , etc ... too bad these are past memories , and i can only reminisce them .

well , enough of talking history , the point i want to make is that - enjoy as much as possible , your sec school life , for there wun be any repeat of it . cherish all the wonderful moment and forget the sorrows . you only live your life once ...

14mar chalet day 1

actually we had been toying with the idea for a chalet for months already , even before china panda came back from sea . but detailed planning only started when he offered to sponsor for the chalet rooms . one main reason was becos we are poor people , so we couldn't afford to pay for chalet without sponsors ...

as usual , i was the in-charge of everything (finance , planning , logistic , procurement team) . or should i say 'had to be' becos it's always me who will end up with the job .

on the day itself , it rained -.-" . we had trouble ferrying all the equipment , food , luggages to the chalet . my lorry wasn't sheltered . so they had to soak themselves in the rain before finding respite when we reached downtown east . luckily it's only for short period .

the rest of them had better transport - taxis ... i wanted to get a bus , but it's too expensive .

upon reaching , we were made to wait half hour becos we reached early and they haven tidy the room . they were getting fed-up becos the food wasn't refrigerated and would be spoilt if left any more longer . so again , we resorted to what we , as a gang , were good at - complain ! our reward = only 15 mins early -.-" ...

once into the room , we rushed into the toilet to wash our legs before any other things . some checked the room out , some ransacked the place , some (incl me) dealed with the logistic stuff , again .


the bbq was the next program . we started the fire relatively early and the food was ready even before 6pm . but then the food somehow we cant finished . the gals ate so little , leaving mountains of food for the rest of us to finish.


after that , all of them 'noa3' inside the room to watch tv , leaving only few outside bbqing . i find it very lame loh . go chalet to watch tv -.-" . somemore had to please them to come out . somehow felt like they took it for granted that everytime there will be chalet . haiz ...
the short period of unhappiness was quickly blanketed by the 'fight of the century' starring adrian and sss . ss was so violent that she kicked and hit adrian constantly . but poor him , he cant hit back haha .




15mar chalet day 2

morning first thing we went to buy breakfast for all . u see , service so good that it's comparable with 5-star hotel haha . although events were lined up for the day , we were all too lazy to participate in them . they just stay inside the room to rot and do stupid stuff .





late afternoon , we began to prepare our dinner . steamboat at chalet neh . creative right ! and we were so lame that we shot our own 'da4 chang2 jin1' video of servants bringing food to the table . quite a lame idea that propped out suddenly .

having a steamboat is kinda of easy , not like what others might have suggested . the problem lies with the quality of the soup . the soup was kinda of yucky because there was too much 'za1' in them , and all the food were thrown at one go . so unappetising ! xiong still dare to say he's pro in steamboat . pui ! haha .



summarising what we had done for the 2 days (becos this is again a backdated entry , i cant think of much to write), i can say that this chalet is quite a successful one . from head to toe , i think all of us put in effort to make it a relaxing one . we didn't had too much unhappy moment that frustrate me like last time . i'm happy this time round . hope that next time , people can organise one and i just have to go there and 'kiao1ka1' will do . wahaha !
