new experience ...hmmm ... i had been working as a relief teacher in my secondary school for the past one month plus . it's ironic for me to work as a teacher becos i'd sweared before that ' i will take all kinds of job except becoming a teacher ' !
actually we signed up for the relief teacher mainly for fun becos that time , we had nothing to do at kb's house . then after getting initial approval from moe , our interest got bigger . we went back specially for an interview . luckily becos we were ex-student , and our conduct had been impressive , there was no need for the interview and we were placed on the relief list immediately .
initially , teaching the class was kinda of nervous becos we had no prior experience . what we had is only a protocol that we had to follow . as time goes by , we set our own rules haha !
the school nowadays is ... haiz , sad to say , deteriorated to such a condition whereby the discipline is horrible . just to name a few - fighting , challenging teacher , skipping classes ... some students , especially the sec$%^&*s , were way beyond redemption . i really wondered , since they dun like to study at all , why bother to come school ? we need students who are willing to learn , not bunches of immature hooligans .
the school shld have taken a tougher stance to reinstate the strict , no-nonsense environment in our times . suspend them if necessary for a long period because detention is now of no use . worst , resort to expelsion ! anything less , they wun learn . they will think 'chey , detention nia . no big deal ' . these 'morons' ought to learn lesson using the hard way .
enough of my criticism , i had to give credits to another group of students with good conduct ( comparable to me , haha ) . most of them are from the express classes ; 1e1 , 2e1 , 3e1 ... i find them very funny and cute . being with them makes me feel younger . notice that i said 'younger' , not 'young' . becos i'm young in nature haha !
though they can be noisy at times , at least they do their work . i allowed them to make so much noise that even other classes de teacher also come out to have a look simply becos at their age now , they shld be enjoying their school life as much as possible . from my experience , the lower secs life was my most enjoyable moment . i dun want to deprive them some of the best memories that they can have .
seeing them somehow made me think about the times we had during sec2 ; whole class guys sit together to makan , play block catching after scholl , giving teacher nicks , etc ... too bad these are past memories , and i can only reminisce them .
well , enough of talking history , the point i want to make is that - enjoy as much as possible , your sec school life , for there wun be any repeat of it . cherish all the wonderful moment and forget the sorrows . you only live your life once ...
