recently has been going round other people's blog to 'peep' at , to update myself ... blog by blog , i'm getting a clearer picture of what's their inner thoughts .i've reached a conclusion - youngsters today are getting more of what they termed it as 'emotional' , or emo for short !
what they wrote in their blogs is shocking to me - vulgarities , self mutilation , leaving this world ( i assume suicide ) , etc ... and most of them had actually tried cutting themselves . gosh !
somehow , the kids nowadays cant take the slightest knock . one knock and it would leave them with the deepest injuries . they keep citing stress as the main culprit . stress from school work ? i thought the things they are studying now is much more simpler , with more chapters being taken away or simplified . why didn't i feel so much stress when i'm still studying ? i'm not a clever person either .
they have been 'sissified' , a term invented by us for people who cant take knocks . or should i say they matured too fast than what their minds or feelings can handled .
the more i read their blogs , the more i think we need more councillors , to find out what are the problems they are having actually . it will be the hottest career in the next 10 years ! and the job will be simple becos the reasons behind the kids being emo are more or less the same - relationships , friends ... so they will jus have to learn one method and applies to all cases .
another conclusion based on what i've seen in school - youngsters are also very self-centred nowadays . they do things without any thoughts for others , they made comments without any thoughts for others , they lacked not in iq but eq ...
they think that what they do are right and are always right . they dun listen to advice and want more autonomy . they dun respect others , yet want respect in return .
sorry , but i want to give them a tight slap on the face . mind that you are in school . you are supposed to be following the school rules at all times . rules are meant to be followed , not broken ! some things shouldn't be done in the way , yet you want them to be . you broke the rule , and you are out of the game . simple !
make it two tight slap if you want to talk about getting respect in school ! it has to be earned , not given . dun expect respect to be given when you act like a monkey ; i will give you only two tight slap .
you want more say , then show me with more self-discipline . in the movie ' spiderman ' , the last word from peter parker's uncle to him is ' with greater power comes greater responsibility ' . only that you satisfy me with your self-discipline then will i entrust you with more power . if not , this world will be in a mess .
